Dear Amanda,
I know it’s been a while since you last heard from me, and I apologize. I’ve been in a phase of rejuvenation, where I’ve been called to unlearn and relearn how to live my life uncharted, solely on God’s terms. It’s been a long learning process for me to recover my stance, find my place, and discover myself amidst life’s many struggles and darkness.
As I write to you, I feel compelled to share and, most importantly, call you back to a place of originality—where you were meant to be before becoming too engrossed with the harsh realities of life. I write to call you back to Eden, God’s city, where friendship is genuine, thirst is quenched, and your longing is met with God’s love and open arms. It’s a place where Koinonia is all you could seek.
You have forsaken the love you had at first. Consider how far you have fallen! Repent and do the things you did at first.
Revelation 2:4b-5a
Amanda, I am led to ask:
What happened to us?
How did we leave this path without feeling remorseful?
When did we learn to play hide and seek, losing our desire for intimacy?
I write to you from a place of brokenness, filled with deep lessons, revelations, an open heart, and a renewed vow to reclaim my place and dwell as the city of God. I aim to make this earthly home my Eden—where God can dwell.
The sacrifice you desire is a broken spirit. You will not reject a broken and repentant heart, O God.
Psalms 51:17b
Amanda, come back to wholeness, a place and posture fully embedded in Christ, free from obligations and performative rituals. It is a place where you can be freely you, living life fully alive and nourished in your first Love (God).
Amanda, I invite you to join me on this journey back to the heart of God, where love, acceptance, and freedom await. Commit yourself wholeheartedly. Do not be in a hurry to announce yourself. Don’t rush out, rather dwell deeper. Let God launch you. Let Him wield you and breathe on you.
God is not found in your performative abilities but in your truthful seeking of Him.
Break down your ideologies and the expectations of your dealings with God. Soften your heart. Shift your gaze and refocus your sight. Return to where you first started, where your longing was genuine, without the need to show but a desire to love Him.
Listen to the beckoning cry of your First Love. Unlive your established reality, one guided by your lust, far from God’s intended plan. From the beginning, it wasn’t so. Redirect yourself to originality and rebuild the damaged and faulty altar. Don’t live in lies or wallow in self-pity. I’ve been there and done that, but it didn’t pay. Wisdom and light call to you…won’t you answer?
This is what the LORD says:“Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls.
Jeremiah 6:16a
Enough of religious gymnastics. Enough of normal. Break barriers. There is more for you and in you. Live the life of fullness, live as it is in heaven. Be the you God wants you to be. Embrace the map and stick to the plan. Heaven calls you today.
Amanda, please return to the garden of intimacy, where our true selves can flourish. I long to reconnect with you on this deeper level and walk together in the beauty and wonder of God’s love.
Yours in faith,
