An Allocation for the Priests

This is for someone and what He says to one He says to all.

Scripture Reference: Genesis 47:13-22.

I advice that you read both the KJV and Good news translations.

The scripture text above is a fulfillment of Pharaoh’s dreams which Joseph interpreted in Genesis 41:29-31. There was expected to be seven years of abundance followed by seven years of famine. Joseph through the wisdom of God saved for this, yet the famine became severe. I must note here that sometimes when God gives us heads up on a particular futuristic event, it’s not so that you can pray and change it rather it’s so that you will get prepared for it. Take for an example, when God told Noah about the coming flood, prayers won’t have averted it but building an ark prepared him for it.

Not all painful experience in our future can be avoided so we must trust God for wisdom to prepare for such time.

The famine in Genesis 47 was so severe that the people became weak with hunger and kept buying food until their money finished, KJV said their ” money failed ” then they moved to selling their livestock (businesses) and after that one got finished, sadly they were still hungry so they proceeded to selling their lands and even themselves.

In verse 21 it says every Egyptian was forced to sell their land. Land connotes inheritance. They were forced to sell their inheritance for food. And even now, like Esau a lot of persons have sold their spiritual inheritance for food, the painful thing about such transactions is that it goes on and on.

BUT on the flip side, verse 22 is what I call the exemption verse. For Joseph bought every lands “Except the land of the priests, which had been given them by the king: to whom also a certain allowance of food was given out of the public stores, and therefore they were not forced to sell their possessions. Please read that again, it says “Even though there was famine YET there was an allocation for a set of persons.” They are called THE PRIEST. The truth is they didn’t have to trade because there was an allocation. If there is no allocation trading is not an option and the buyer in this case does not determine the price the seller does.

Do you know that you are a Priest?

Revelations 1:6 says He has made us kings and priest and you have to believe it because the allocations reserved in this last days are for the priests. Our text is a prophetic depiction of what has already started happening. The spirit of Esau that forces men to sell the eternal for the earthly. Note that I used the word “force” The spirit of the last days is the spirit of survival, the force of survival compels you to do anything to live or how do we explain a mother who kidnapped another person’s child to feed hers; Its a forced trade. Sadly the famine is just starting, money has failed, inheritance will fail.

Finally,

Close your eyes and imagine people stepping on each other, shouting and begging with their land documents, their car papers and even their bodies to get something from a store and you walking into that same store and coming out with that same thing with your name on it.

Can you see what am saying?

That is your reality!

Dear Priest, You don’t have to trade your body for a life partner, a contract, position or fame; there’s already an allocation for you!

“The LORD is the portion of mine inheritance and of my cup: thou maintainest my lot.” The lord is your allocation and the earth is the Lord’s.

Psalms 16:5

Only those who are cared for supernaturally by God will survive the coming famine, Isaiah 60:2 says darkness is coming, thick darkness is coming upon the earth, men will give anything to survive, even now people walk into places to sell their body parts to survive and it’s going to get worse but even in such darkness God in Christ has made an allocation of light for us. Whether famine or thick darkness, your portion as a priest is reserved in Christ the question however is, are you in Christ? If you are not in Christ you are already trading the eternal for the earthly and today is a good day to leave that market.

Is Jesus the Lord of your life? No…. Please say this prayer below.

Dear Lord Jesus,
I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior. In Jesus name. Amen and Amen.

Congratulation if you said this prayer and welcome to the family.

Let us pray,
Our father we thank you for your word and for your love. Lord we ask that you protect us from the spirit of the last days even as you maintain our lot. Lord help us to live right as priest, to keep our consecration and trust you for our future. In Jesus mighty name. Amen and Amen.
