Welcome to 2025! I’m thrilled to share that the theme for this year in my church (Foursquare Gospel Church) is Resounding Victory. It’s so inspiring because it aligns perfectly with a word God placed on my heart—Eagles’ Flight. When you’re soaring on the wings of the Eagle, victory is not just possible; it’s certain.
Now, let’s talk about the start of the year. You know how January feels—a fresh slate, big goals, and momentum. It’s an exciting time, but here’s the thing: life happens. The new year’s energy can fizzle out if we don’t intentionally guard it. That’s why I’m praying for you—and myself—that we don’t lose our sense of wonder, and that the reason behind the newness stays alive in our hearts.
This year, I’m not leaving things to chance. I’m putting systems in place to help me stay grounded and focused. For me, that means:
- Studying God’s Word consistently, not just when I feel like it.
- Praying daily, even when life gets busy.
- Reading books that challenge and inspire me.
- Doing things that add real value to my life and others.
And most importantly, I’m committing to living a Spirit-led life in 2025. I’m looking forward to the Holy Spirit taking the full course and having total control over every aspect of my journey. My heart for the year is captured perfectly in the song Spirit Lead Me by Influence Music & Michael Ketterer. The lyrics sum it all up:

These words are my anthem—they remind me to surrender fully and let God direct my steps, even when I don’t fully understand.
So, as we step into this year, I encourage you to set up sustainable systems that work for you and to embrace a life led by the Spirit. Victory isn’t just a theme; it’s a promise when we trust God wholeheartedly.
Let’s make 2025 a year of starting strong and finishing well. Resounding victory is ours, but it starts with the small, consistent steps we take daily.
