How does it feel to be the only one left behind, especially when you’re doing everything right, yet it seems like everyone else is moving ahead of you at lightning speed?
Do you faint?
Do you stop trying?
Or do you keep moving?
Your response and your disposition in seasons of pressure matter more than you think.
As Gen Z would say, “never lose your steeze.” But trust me, life has a way of stretching you so deeply that even your steeze will beg for a break. These are moments when strength feels thin, when comparison whispers loudly, and when discouragement tries to settle in your heart.
But whatever you do, don’t stop moving.
At this point in your life, what you choose to do will shape your future. So here’s a little advice for this season:
Keep the right people in your corner. Hold onto those who won’t constantly remind you that you’re “the only one left,” but those who help you see the beauty in your timing. The ones who will gracefully hold your hand, pray with you, support you, and remind you who you are.
Speak life over yourself. Write words that anchor you: scriptures, affirmations, quotes, promises, whatever keeps your spirit steady. In moments like this, you need life-giving words that remind you: You are not alone. You have what it takes.
This is a phase, not your final destination.
You will need discipline because temptation will come. The temptation to withdraw, to stop giving your best, to compromise, or to live in regret. However, discipline will keep you grounded when emotions try to take over.
And above all, rejoice with those who have what you desire. Avoid silent competition, jealousy, or bitterness. Life unfolds differently for each of us. Opportunities come in seasons. Whether it feels like your turn yet or not, don’t lose your steeze, and keep your faith alive.
Your story is still being written.
