30 Days of Gratitude: Day 12- Grateful for the Youths.

Today, my heart overflows with gratitude to God for the youth. I thank Him for preserving their lives, sustaining them through challenges, and continually working in their hearts. Watching their growth and transformation over time has been a testimony of God’s faithfulness and grace.

I clearly remember the early days of my tenure as Vice President. The youth seemed distant, hesitant, and uninterested in coming forth. There was an unmistakable wall that separated them from active participation. We, the executives, tried everything we could to bridge the gap—organizing programs, reaching out personally, and praying. But despite our efforts, progress felt slow, and frustration crept in. I often found myself saying, “Lord, I can’t wait for this tenure to be over.”

But God had other plans. He surrounded us with a team of prayerful and committed executives who refused to give up. Together, we began to seek God earnestly for a breakthrough. We held constant prayers, interceding for the youth and asking God to soften their hearts and draw them closer to Him. As we persevered, we began to see the evidence of His work. Hearts started to change, walls began to crumble, and a new desire for fellowship emerged among the youth.

This experience reminded me of the power of prayer and God’s ability to bring life where there seems to be none. As Isaiah 43:19 says: “See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.” God was indeed making a way, and it was beautiful to witness.

When my tenure ended, I looked back and felt an overwhelming sense of gratitude. Instead of relief, I found myself asking God for another opportunity to serve. I prayed, “Lord, let me make an even greater impact. Use me to do more for Your kingdom.” And in His infinite mercy, He answered that prayer.

Though the youth are still on their journey, their growth is undeniable. God has blessed us as a unit in ways that only He can. Over the years, we have celebrated marriages, career breakthroughs, academic successes, and spiritual awakenings. These blessings remind me of Ephesians 3:20, which says: “Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us.” Truly, God has done more than we could have ever imagined.

I am especially grateful for the unity and love that have grown among the youth. It is humbling to see how far we have come, knowing that it was not by human effort but by God’s grace. Philippians 1:6 captures this perfectly: “Being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”

As I reflect, I celebrate each of the youth in Foursquare Gospel Church—their lives, their families, and their testimonies. I also recognize that the work is not yet complete, but I trust God to continue leading and growing us for His glory.

May we all remain steadfast, knowing that as we commit our ways to Him, He will direct our paths (Proverbs 3:5–6). To God alone be the glory for what He has done, what He is doing, and what He will yet do.
