Today, my heart is full of gratitude for my teens and for how God has kept and sustained them. Reflecting on their journey fills me with awe at God’s goodness and faithfulness. Each one of them represents a testimony of His unending love and grace.
As a department in church, we have prayed countless prayers for these young lives. From their spiritual growth to academic progress, we’ve carried them in intercession, trusting God to guide their paths. One specific area of focus was university admissions. We prayed fervently for open doors and opportunities, believing in His promise that “the plans I have for you are plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future” (Jeremiah 29:11, NIV).
Looking back now, I see the answers to those prayers. Almost all of them have gained admission into school, some even to institutions beyond what we had envisioned. This is a reminder that God’s timing and plans are perfect, far exceeding what we could ever imagine.
Beyond their academic achievements, I see God’s hand shaping their spiritual lives and character. Many of them have become more rooted in their faith, stepping up to take leadership roles and showing a hunger for the Word of God. As Proverbs 22:6 says,
“Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” Indeed, our labor of love and mentorship is bearing fruit.
I am also grateful for their resilience and determination. Life has thrown its challenges, but through it all, they have shown strength and a reliance on God. Isaiah 40:31 reminds us, “But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” Truly, God has been their strength and shield.
This journey with them has deepened my trust in God. He has proven that no prayer is wasted, no tear goes unnoticed, and no faith-filled action is in vain. Psalm 126:3 says, “The Lord has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy.” This verse perfectly captures how I feel as I witness their progress.
Looking ahead, I remain hopeful and expectant. God has started a great work in them, and I know He will bring it to completion (Philippians 1:6). I believe their futures are bright, filled with opportunities to make an impact and glorify God. My prayer for them is that they will continue to grow in wisdom, stature, and favor with God and man (Luke 2:52).
To parents, guardians, and mentors reading this, let this be an encouragement. Keep praying, keep believing, and keep sowing seeds of love and faith into the lives of your teens. God is faithful to bring about a harvest in due time.
Here’s to more answered prayers, deeper growth, and countless testimonies to the glory of God. His faithfulness is our foundation, and I am honored to walk this journey alongside these amazing teens.
