Day 1- Grateful for Deliverance from Distraction

Happy New month, welcome to the month of April. It is a month of Gratitude for me and today is day 1. I hope in this month of April, you find reasons to remember and be grateful to God.

Waking up on Friday the 1st of April 2022, I woke up with a burden, unhappy and just tired. It dawned that there were lots of pending request. Immediately I recalled them, I lost my peace.

Choosing to either be unhappy or move past my feeling. I hesitated a bit, but I said the 3 toughest words I could think of that moment and I said “Father Help Me”.

Weak with no strength knowing if God doesn’t come through I’d be finished. I knew it would be from one level of depression to another and I wasn’t ready for it.

The moment I finished praying, I picked up my Bible and it opened up to Psalm 42, and I meditated on it.

I knew God was trying to say something. He had been trying to get my attention but worries and cares had eaten me up.

I read through to VS 5 – 6 and I broke down.

Psalms 42:5 Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted in me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him for the help of his countenance.

Psalms 42:6 O my God, my soul is cast down within me: therefore will I remember thee from the land of Jordan, and of the Hermonites, from the hill Mizar.

The word Remember;

It means by implication to mention; make mention of; be mindful; recount; record; make to be remembered; bring to call ; still think on well.

Light shone and I perceived my gratitude tank was empty. Lord I am sorry and I deliberately and constantly choose to feed on your faithfulness and my soul will bless you and I will not forget all your benefits.

Sometimes God uses distance in our feelings to call us deeper in our faith.

Steven Furtick

I knew God was calling me to spiritual depth. God is saying stop to the terrorists of anxiety that has been ruining and ruling my imagination and interrupting my rest. Because in Isaiah 30:15, “ in quietness and in rest I will find strength “

Quietness is the incubation bed of revelation.

Peace! Be Still.

These words suggest that we can have peace, but it can be fleeting or easily moved. The next time you notice your life has shifted from peace to frustration, peace to worry, peace to doubt, peace to fear, I challenge you to demand peace to return to its rightful place in your atmosphere.

Never allow your emotions to be determined by your situation. Rather, allow your situation and emotions to align with what you insist is the highest reality.

DAY 1

I’m grateful to God for taking away distraction and getting me back on track.

I encourage you no matter how you feel or what seems to be happening around you. Choose praise, think of the goodness of Jesus, and rest in God’s promises, listen to messages because God is too faithful to fail.

I Listened to Steven Furtick God uses Distance.
